How to find a realtor
TLDR: The article provides advice for those looking for a real estate agent in Florida, suggesting checking out local real estate offices, looking at a realtor's volume and reviews on REALTOR.com, trusting your gut feelings, checking online presence and social media, and meeting with potential realtors before making a decision. The author recommends their services as a realtor who can have a positive impact on clients' investments and experience.
In a world filled with instant gratification and a plethora of options – it can be challenging to narrow down what to look for or even decide what you need when taking the first steps into Real Estate. There are over 220,000 REALTORS in the state of Florida – making the number of choices you have – a tad overwhelming.
I have outlined some things to look for, or even questions to ask when interviewing a REALTOR… (yes, you should interview agents prior to signing a legal agreement with them).
- Check out some local spots. Do you have a downtown area that has boutique Real Estate Offices? If the answer is yes, I would recommend dropping by and speaking to one of the agents or staff members there. Unlike big box brokerages, local offices offer a unique hands-on approach to real estate and, it’s more than likely they will have a deeper understanding of you and your property.
- Checkout REALTOR.com. REALTORS volume is extremely important along with reviews. Make sure you are working with someone who has the experience, the testimonials, and the feel you are looking for.
- The Feel. We all have “gut feelings” – trust them. If when searching for an agent you feel like you would work well with them, or you feel like they would work hard for you – go for it! More than likely, your first reaction or feelings are correct
- Once you compile a list check them out further online. REALTORS (should), have a social media and online presence. Check out their personal websites (like this one), and social media sites. Look for transaction history, sales experience, reviews, and even the number of followers. Check out past posts and videos for engagement validation.
- Set up a time to meet! Before you make any decisions, meet and get to know your potential REALTORS – understand their approach, how they will help you, what they offer, and what they suggest, and then make your decision
I would love the opportunity to earn your business. My approach to Real Estate will make a direct and long-lasting impact on you, your investments, and how you enjoy the process.
